50th Anniversary Stuntman's Association Gala
Mark Grove and Jon Firestone were in LA last week and attended the 50th Anniversary Gala for the Stuntman's Association. The Gala, hosted by C. Thomas Howell, benefited the Screen Actor's Guild Foundation and Honored Harrison Ford with the Richard Farnsworth award. Click here to see images from the event.
Asgard Update
Asgard Team Member James Lew, who will soon be returning to complete shooting in his starring role as Asura in "Tengu: The Immortal Blade" has been staying busy. Recently he completed coordinating the film "Hijacked" with Randy Couture (Pictured Right), Dominic Purcell, Vinny Jones, and Holt McCallany, filmed in New Orleans. He will also be working as a Motion Capture performer for the video game "Ride To Hell".
Monte M. Moore Joins the Asgard Team
As Asgard Entertainment continues growing we are proud to add Monte M. Moore to our team. Monte is an award-winning illustrator and designer in the comics, gaming and fantasy/sci-fi industries for nearly twenty years, where his impressive client list has included top companies like Lucasfilm Ltd., DC Comics, Marvel Entertainment, The U.S. Marine Corps, Coors Brewing and more.

Mind's Eye Wraps Principal Photography
Another one in the can! Asgard Entertainment just finished shooting with BlackWing Digital in Boulder Colorado, the psychological thriller Mind's Eye. The locations were amazing, the work was hard but the footage is beautiful. Mark Grove Directed Malcolm McDowell, Dean Cain, Izzie Steele, and Natalie Distler to name a few, and Jon Firestone made amazing imagery with the RED and one of the first EPIC camera's to shoot in Colorado. Congrats to the cast, crew and Producer Meryem Ersoz!

SPOTLIGHT - JAMES LEW ACTOR/STUNT COORDINATOR
James Lew - Actor, Stuntman, Fight Choreographer, Stunt Coordinator, and Director. James Lew's secret to success is diversity. A secret that has taken him from a Martial artist, to stunt performer, then Coordinator, the Martial Arts History Museum Hall of Fame and facing some of Hollywoods biggest stars in films like INCEPTION, PIRATES OF THE CARIBRIBEAN: At World's End, and GET SMART. IPHONE MEETS ASGARD
Asgard was brought on to help produce an upcoming Iphone app currently titled "Fate". Not much else can be said at the moment, but performers Sam Del Rio, Lucky McQueede, Will Beckingham and Sara Salazar were part of the act. While Asgard's Mark Grove and Jon Firestone helped provide the vision.

DIY DISASTER HOUSE!
Asgard was on the set of the DIY Channel's Disaster house 2 weeks in a row. The first was for an episode dealing with mold. Where we had to blow up a cake made by renowned pastry Chef Keegan Gerhard of Denver's own Dbar Desserts. The second episode was dealing with the destructive force of lightning! To simulate lightning they brought in a Tesla Coil, made by Austin Richards, or "Dr. Megavolt" as he's otherwise known. And Asgard was there to make sure the lightning caused some mayhem! GROVE, FIRESTONE TEAM TAGGED AS DIRECTOR AND DP FOR NEW FILM
Mark Grove was recently hired to Direct a new feature film from Black Wing Digital. The film is called "Mind's Eye" and was also quick to snatch up Jon Firestone as Director of Photography. A psychological thriller, Mind's Eye will be shooting in the Denver and Boulder areas in 2011, check our page and the film's website for production updates. Congrats to Mark, and Jon!

THE MAN WITH THE CHILD IN HIS EYES
Asgard has spent the last month working on the Directorial debut of Christopher Atkins, "The Man With the Child in his Eyes". The short film, was written by Atkins and stars Gabrielle Carteris (Beverly Hills 90210) alongside Atkins. The film has been shot throughout the Denver Metro area with Jon Firestone as Director of Photography. Production will resume in August to film a Korean War scene with Mark Grove Coordinating explosions and stunts as well as 2nd Unit Directing, and the Asgard Stunt Team will be on tap for canon fodder. SPOTLIGHT - GREG ANDERSON STUNT COORDINATOR
Greg Anderson began his career as a stuntman on films like FLAP (starring Anthony Quinn - 1970), THE MECHANIC (starring Charles Bronson - 1973), THE SWARM (starring Michael Caine - 1978), and early Chuck Norris films A FORCE OF ONE (1979), and AN EYE FOR AN EYE. Over the years he has become respected as an all around stuntman and stunt coordinator who has since worked on dozens of feature film and television projects, including: Nash Bridges, Con Air, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Minority Report, Rush Hour 2, The Hangover to name a few.
